I slice horribly …
I slice horribly with my driver but hit perfectly with all irons and even 3 wood. I do not turn my wrists though I have learned to hit my irons by going straight back and straight through like a straight circle with no angle. I lost a little power on my irons doing this but hitting it straight was all I wanted. the driver problem is I pull in I guess you could say I can see this when I hit instead of straight through I turn in sort of like a U shape. How do I stop doing this? Can I send a VId

very true you are a …
very true you are a true slicer of the ball not a pull slicer, (very rare) easier because you have 1 thing to change not 2
1. cause of slice …
1. cause of slice club face open,
swing path over the top leads to you opening the clubface at impact to try and save the shot, like most things in golf they go hand in hand, if you can hit a powerfull pull then you have the right hand action, then the drill in the video is great to straighten out ball flight, good luck with the changes, it will come and it is worth it because of better angle of attack (ball flight and correct loft at impact, more distance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good advice, 90 …
Good advice, 90 percent of problems lie in set up, i teach every day and alignment is a big problem, watch my eye alignment vid , the brain automatically tries to swing the club down the target line, if the pupil is aiming right it will cause an over the top movement, however this is not the main cause because if the club is released this will result in a pull. the clubface is the sole reason of a slice, all direct golf tuition pros are PGA ty for you sound knowledge and comments

A slice is caused …
A slice is caused mainly by bad aiming.90% of golfers aim way right of target.First be sure to aim right be square then work on solid take away and first move in downswing.SEE YOUR PGA pro.

Excellent! Good re-explanation of great old Hogan idea. I’m often trying to fix slicers and this is a great approach with clear concept – ‘don’t break the glass’ = love it. One of the very rare times I have given feedback after 30years on 4 or 5 handicap.

There are several …
There are several reasons why your ball slices:
1. over the top
2.open clubface
3.wrong stance
4.(my common mistake) cant close the club face at impact

swinging over the …
swinging over the top used to be a big problem for me, when you swing the club, make sure than you swing aroung your body. this will stop you frm being able to come over the top. and to hit a draw just simply use close to a normal swing just in your down swip take the club close to your body and then take the club head to about 11 o clock through your follow threw any questions just ask

Hey, I’ve heard the “plane of glass” analogy before but not quite like you just described it. I’m definitely going to use that tip.
Agree. This is a …
Agree. This is a great tip. He’s right about how counter-intuitive getting inside out is. If you’ve been slicing forever – as i have – it comes as incredible surprise to look up after you’ve swung as he’s suggested and discover that your ball is going straight or even drawing. It feels wrong but the results are exactly right.
