Couldn’t agree more, there is no set fundamental that all should follow. Just look at the three greatest ballstikers of all time, Trevino, Hogan, and Moe Norman, completely different set up, grips, stances, postures and alignment. None are right, none are wrong, its all about finding what works for you and repeating the out of it, if you what to be really good then repeat the out of it ’til your hands bleed.

I don’t need to …
I don’t need to google fundamentals. I’ve read all the books. Hogan’s, Elkingtion’s, Jack’s, Tiger’s, leadbetter’s etc etc. I’m an student of the game.

And from all my studies the only fundamental is striking the ball with the club head correctly. Now yes there’s a few people who have been able to illustrate a swing pattern to help a golfers obtain this fundamental more consistently, but I maintain a teacher should mold the swing to the golfer not the opposite.

C’mon buddy. Just google ‘golf fundamentals’ and see what comes up; how people have catagorized the fundamentals of the game. Listen to the analysts who talk about the game and the instructors that teach the game.

Grip, stance, posture, alignment (among others) is what they all talk about,

To say that these are not fundamentals is simply ignorant. Smarten up.

Another sign you’re full of crap. grab my statement and simplify it. Of course some people adjust their alignment to achieve a ball flight. if you want to hit a high draw you’ll set up your own personal way, every time FOR THAT PARTICULAR SHOT ( Idiot )

However. the alignment is not the same for everyone. Mediate sets up shut to the target to hit the ball right to left, Lehman sets up open to the target.

All four are bullshit; yet all four are cited in all the respected instructional material on how to play the game. Weird.

Don’t connect the term ‘fundamental’ with the presumption that everybody has to do it the same. This is way off.

Did you watch the US open today and hear Miller’s comment of Woods adjusting his alignment to achieve the flight path of his ball? Do it the same every time? No way, budzy.

Word of advice: keep your comments to the Shamwow videos on YouTube.
