Where could you find the 2008 USGA Golf Rule Book. Could you find it at a book store like Borders or Barnes and Noble. Or do you have to go to a sports store like Dick's?

Im looking for a book about managing a golf course?

Im looking for a book about managing a golf course. I want it to include the business aspect of it, as well as the maintenance of it. Let me know if you have come across anything. LINKS please!

Not aware of any book which states how a golf course is to be managed. There are two things you can do. 1) Consult with the manager of the golf course nearest you and learn first hand what is required to manage a golf course. 2) Write to the USGA in Far Hills, NJ to see if they have information. There is a club manager's association which I do not think is strictly for golf courses. They may be helpful.

Where can I sell a very rare copy of "The Gorham Golf Book" other than e-bay?

This book is in fine condition and would be a great gift to an avid golfer

Sotheby's, Christies.

I want to have a golf outing fundraiser. Can I call local golf courses and ask for their help?

Is this something golf courses like getting involved in and how much help can they provide.

Call golf courses and tell them what you are trying to do. Some courses get more outing requests than they can handle while others struggle to get all that they want. The supply/demand status of each course may determine how much they want to help. If a course really wants/needs the outing, they may at least steer you in the proper directions so that they may land the outing at their course. Outings are huge revenue generators for course owners. I would not expect the course to give you discount rates because you are having a charity event. Be prepared to do A LOT of work. People running an outing for the first time usually dont know what they're getting into.

Stinks, they do. Can someone help with cleaning golf shoes?

My 15 year old has some all leather Foot Joy golf shoes that he has worn for about a year. He is starting to grow out of them, but has a few good months before that day comes. Does anyone know of a good way to clean them? Can I throw them in the wash, since they are going to be gone in a few months anyway (too used to donate, I promise, although I'll try)? He's growing like a weed but can get a good few rounds in before he needs the next pair. The smell is just killing us… any suggestions? The shoe spray is beyond our help at this point. Yes, I know, new shoes. But he golfs every other day and every weekend, rain or shine. We were planning on buying him new ones for a gift when/if he makes the high school team, so trying to wait (we will buy him new ones when he can no longer use these, but thought it would be a nice thing as a gift if he does). You probably didn't need the story behind why I need these clean shoes. Sorry. Thanks so much for any help!

my wife actually puts fabric softner sheets in my shoes and boots, and it helps alot
